The pediatric full-body phantom was modeled on a 4-year-old child, 105 cm tall. The model shows a life-size, whole-body, anthropomorphic phantom with state-of-the-art synthetic skeleton, lungs, liver, mediastinum and kidneys embedded in soft tissue substitutes.

Ability to practice skills:

  • taking X-rays and elementary computed tomography
  • basic patient positioning for X-ray examinations or for computed tomography

The model includes:

  • movable joints allow the basic positioning of the “patient” for normal X-ray examination
  • the phantom can be broken down into 10 individual parts (head, limbs and torso)
  • The phantom has no metal parts or liquid structures
  • the most important joints are naturally mobile, allowing for multiple exercise positions
